Biographical Information

Janelle (Jan) Finnefrock Moore was born on a cold, February morning in Lancaster, Ohio. With snow on the ground, Jan arrived five minutes before identical twin sister Jody. They grew up sharing the same room, but had their own friends and identities. Jan graduated from Lancaster High School in 1981. She attended the Ohio State School of Cosmetology before giving birth to Erica on Christmas day, 1987. Becoming a mother made Jan more appreciative of living things; the miracles and fragilities of human life. In 1988, she switched careers and went into the medical-dental field. She finished a two year degree program and became a certified Dental Assistant. Wanting to further her medical skills, she took a job at Children's Hospital Columbus, Ohio in the Hematology/Oncology Department. She is currently a full-time, Research Associate. Her work involves cancer studies of terminally ill children. Jan has been at Children's Hospital for over 10 years now. And a little secret....she still cuts, perms, and colors the hair of friends and family members. Jan's the best person for cutting & styling fine, limp hair. Ask her sisters (Penny, Polly, Jody).

Personal Interests

Taking care of my 11 year old daughter, attending Vineyard church, rollerblading, watching movies, reading novels, camping, bicycling & walking. I like sports, especially OSU football, the Columbus Clippers Baseball team, and the Quest Women's Basketball team. I lettered in field hockey while in high school. My biggest wish is to meet a decent man who loves God, his job, family life, and people.

One Last Thing......

My ex-husband still helps me with Erica. We share the responsibility of raising our daughter by rotating alternative weeks. It's not the easiest arrangement, but Erica gets to grow up with two parents who live in the same city. So I'm not looking for a father replacement. Just a quality, fun-loving man to enjoy life with. And I would marry again if I find the right man, or he finds me :)

There are some eligible women of central Ohio as portrayed in the picture above. The four of us went to a single's dance on New Year's Eve.
